This weekend | Jurassic World: Dominion leads the Quebec box office

The sixth installment of the cult dinosaur series, Jurassic World: Dominion (Jurassic World – Domination), topped the box office for its second theatrical weekend in Quebec, June 17-19, grossing $786,023, according to data compiled by Cinéac.

The Hollywood blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, which stars Tom Cruise in the role that earned him international acclaim when it was released in 1986, came in not far behind, grossing $744,416 in its fourth week in theaters. This highly anticipated sequel has so far raised $6,175,858.

The adventures of Captain Buzz Lightyear follow in the classification, the animated film from Disney Lightyear ranking third for its first weekend, with revenues of $511,551.

The new feature film by Rafaël Ouellet Arsenault & Sonswhich was also in its first theatrical weekend, placed fourth with takings of $115,787.

This is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) which finds itself in fifth position (with receipts of $72,962) for its seventh week in theaters, followed by animated films The Bad Guys (The villains) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (sonic the hedgehog 2), which earned $45,703 and $33,302, respectively, in their 9e and 11e week.
