this villa with the astronomical sum that the presidential candidate “forgot” to declare…

The hiding place! As with every presidential election, the candidates for this one must reveal their heritage to the High Authority for the transparency of public life. After publication, it was Valérie Pécresse who was the “richest” among the twelve candidates. The latter having a fortune estimated at 10 million euros, a large part of which comes from the income of her companion Jérôme Pécresse. As a reminder, the latter is CEO of the renewable energy branch of the American group General Electric.

Artists’ paintings, several properties including a villa estimated at 1 million euros in La Baule as well as a villa in Versailles worth 2.3 million euros or even a “small” house in Corrèze, would therefore be part of of its heritage. A rather consequent list which did not fail to make people react. But after the latest revelations from the Chained Duck, the Republican candidate may well have to answer for her oversight. Indeed, the latter having failed to declare another property and not the least.

What we didn’t know

Indeed, our colleagues announce that a second house in La Baule, called Villa Oprhée and bought for 1.9 million euros (with a bank loan of one million), was not on the list. In his defence, this property does not entirely belong to him. According to the law, it is not compulsory to declare the assets held in a family SARL. And to acquire this residence, the Pécresse family created a SARL with their children and holds “only” 54.5%, or a value of 309,829 euros.

Of course, this will not fail to make the French react and in particular the opponents of Valérie Pécresse. It remains to be seen whether the one who was sprayed with pink powder during a meeting in Puteaux will want to raise the subject or prefer to remain silent in order to avoid any controversy before the first round of the presidential election.
