Nicknamed “the king of TikTok” by Internet users, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari is undoubtedly the politician who handles social networks best. It was during his tenure as Minister of Transport that he inherited this rather flattering status simply because he managed to draw Internet users into his daily life as a minister and to give a less old-fashioned image of the profession thanks to his hilarious videos.
If he is no longer a minister but now a columnist in the program “Les Grandes Gueules”, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari nevertheless continues to use the platform… and to make daring remarks on the government. Thus, a few hours ago, the father of the family quipped that a possible use of 49-3 by the government to pass the budget… by betting on a “trend” (in other words a trend to follow), which resumes a scene from the Netflix series “Dahmer” where serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer dances just before committing his first crime…
Something to shock Internet users since it is recalled that this program paints a bloodthirsty portrait of Jeffrey Dahmer, an American serial killer known for having tortured, murdered and eaten 17 young men between 1978 and 1991. Faced with the extent of the controversy, the former minister deleted his video but anger continues to rumble on Twitter.
“Imagine a former minister, followed by hundreds of thousands of people, quips on 49-3 by including a little ref to Dahmer, the serial killer who took advantage of structural racism & homophobia to commit his crimes in the USA. Yeah, I know… But imagine” launches, for example, an annoyed Internet user. “Video deleted. But, beyond the provocation, it still has a grain, doesn’t it, Djebbari?” asks journalist and political adviser François Degois.
