Since last January, Florent Pagny has been in the news more regularly. The 60-year-old singer has indeed announced that he has lung cancer… which has also led to the immediate cessation of his concert tour across France. This sad revelation revived sales of the book “Florent Pagny, portrait of an eternal rebel” published in 2015 and written by journalist Eric Le Bourhis.
In this book, the author looks back on the life of Florent Pagny in his early days. The opportunity to discuss his love affair with Vanessa Paradis and the fact that they formed at the time, one of the most fashionable couples and the most spied on by the press… But while their relationship beats the wing after months of intense love, Vanessa Paradis goes into exile in the United States to work with Lenny Kravitz with whom she will end up in a relationship.
Devastated and alone, Florent Pagny must then face the end of his story with the young singer at a time when his career is at half mast, not to fix things. Abandoned by many people in the profession, he was finally reborn working with Jean-Jacques Goldman.
In 1993, he joined the Enfoirés troupe and shone by taking over the titles of Michel Berger who had just died. During this evening which takes place at Grande Halle de la Villette, he then finds his ex, Vanessa Paradis, who came to sing Jean-Jacques Goldman the song by Fabienne Thibaut entitled “We sleep with each other”.
His collaboration with Jean-Jacques Goldman allows Florent Pagny to relaunch himself definitively on the front of the French scene and he meets a few months later, the beautiful Azucena Camano… with whom he is still in a relationship today and with whom he has had two beautiful children.
