The very young Mallory Gabsi, only 26 years old, and emblematic semi-finalist of season 11 of “Top chef”, has just obtained its first star in the Michelin Guide! The famous committee awarded him on March 6, 2023 not only this prestigious prize for his restaurant, a year after its opening in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, but also the Young Chef Prize!
Mallory Gabsi comes a long way
Wonderful news for this champion of cooking fries, (for fans of the cooking show on M6), who comes to us from Belgium. And Mallory Gabsi has come a long way. This Monday, he indeed commented in front of the audience of cooks who applauded him warmly: “I am very moved. It touches me a lot”.

Transparent about his disability, Mallory Gabsi has already told how he had lost the use of one of his eyes, during a hazing, in the kitchen. Trainee in a restaurant in Belgium, long before his television adventure, he had then received a jump of water which also contained a powerful detergent. Despite the emergency care he received in Antwerp, he did not manage to regain his sight on this side. His palace, on the other hand, remained intact!
Who are the other award-winning Top Chefs?
This March 6, Mallory Gabsi is not the only candidate for “Top chef” to be rewarded by the famous red guide. In all, forty-four establishments have been crowned this year, including 37 in the region. We discover in addition to Mallory Gabsi that Jordan Yuste, seen in season 11 of the culinary competition , also won a star for his restaurant L’arrivage, located in Sète, which he opened the following year.
Thibaut Spiwack, candidate seen in season 13 of the show last year, chef of the Anona restaurant in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, maintains his star received last year for this year. Finally, Nicolas Seibold, candidate for season 7, in 2016, was also awarded for his establishment La Mutinerie in Lyon.
