Indeed, if the man with the white beard and the red suit gives her his bag lost under the tree, Jane Birkin would be the happiest in the world. In any case, this is what she implied on the airwaves of RTL there is little. This one, victim of a stroke last September, from which she is recovering little by little, is currently working on a new album. Or rather, on new songs which fans of Charlotte Gainsbourg’s mother hope to land on a record.
But before releasing new songs, you still have to write them. What Jane Birkin had been doing for several weeks. The artist leaves her creations in her diary which she always keeps in her bag. However, she would have done better to leave the famous notebook at home these last days … Since she lost her “bag” during an outing in the Luxembourg Gardens of the capital as noted by our colleagues from Close.
“I lost my bag a week ago. And what I wrote was in my diary. A bag with a fabric like the potatoes with the name of the Humphris grocery store on it. It was in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris ”, she announced before specifying: “ Inside were all the songs I had written, even the ones I wrote for Étienne Daho. So if anyone finds it, let me know. There are also a ton of prescriptions in it if anyone’s been curious enough to look. I would have had this curiosity ”.
It remains to be seen whether a ” curious “ will indeed take a look at the contents of the bag if it finds it. But above all, if the latter will be kind enough to return it and not resell the sketches and songs already completed on which the artist was working.
