Many things have been said about the couple formed by Marc Lavoine and his wife Line Papin. For many months, rumors of separation have surrounded the story of the writer and the singer. Some claim that the desire to become a mother of the young woman would have been a problem within this newly married couple. In any case, the latter may have just provided some answers with the publication of her novel in which she evokes certain very personal pains.
In this new book, A Possible Life, to be published by Stock editions on March 2, 2022, the author tells the story of a young woman who learns of her twin pregnancy, before suffering a miscarriage. “What joy, she thought, and what a surprise: in her belly, there are two pockets, twins. […] However, at the clinic, he is soon told that the fetuses did not last. They must be removed“, can we read.
A story well inspired by his personal experience. “The first termination of pregnancy I suffered was involuntary: I had a miscarriage at two months of pregnancy in 2020 during the first confinement, while I was expecting twins“, confirmed Line Papin to our colleagues from Femme Actuelle, adding that she had the painful memory of “three dead babies on their arms“.
“When one has desired a pregnancy that is interrupted, it would seem natural to carry out a second one. But when I got pregnant again a year later, I had the feeling that reality was no longer ready to accommodate my old desires, my dream of motherhood. The circumstances were no longer the same. There have been so many upheavals in me, so many wounds, that it was no longer the moment”, says Line Papin who explains: “For me it had become impossible to become a mother. It was technically, biologically possible but humanly impossible. It’s hard to explain and understand. Whether it’s a miscarriage or an abortion: in both cases there is a will but an impossibility. And the two a heartbreakyou.”
