Super Mamie is more than 600 local elections, 4000 candidates and 25 Super Mamie France elected until today. And for its 2022 edition, the organization has decided to highlight the two million women who help a fragile loved one in France by awarding one of the grannies the title of Super Granny of Caregivers 2022. But the organization has also had to adapt since with the health crisis, some regional competitions could not take place. There will therefore be only seven candidates to claim the title instead of the usual ten.

But if they will be a little less numerous on stage, the candidates will be able to count on the support of a large audience since the event will be sold out. The ceremony, hosted by Fabienne Ollier and Eric Chaay, will also be broadcast on France 3 Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur as well as on the Super Mamie Facebook page, which will invite Internet users to vote for their favorite candidate.
Candidates let’s talk about it. They come from all over France and are between 53 and 82 years old. They will also have to convince a jury made up of Carinne Teyssandier, Véronique Jannot, Eve Angeli and Vincent Fernandel. Concerning the presence of Eve Angeli, Fabienne Ollier confided to us: “I chose Eve Angeli because she is a grandmother, when I knew that, it made me tilt! Even if she is not a grandmother by filiation”. As for Véronique Jeannot, “last year, I had trouble hanging on to her, but she ended up saying yes! She was so exceptional as president of the jury that I invited her back to come this year and this time she said yes spontaneously! »
“There are a lot of emotions, very beautiful messages from the children and grandchildren”
During this contest, the children will have to say why their mother is so special and the grandchildren of each participant will play an important and touching role since they will have secretly prepared moving tributes. The last step is the grannies who will all have to take up surprise challenges!
All candidates will be offered a full board stay in a 4-star hotel on the Promenade des Anglais. The winner will be offered a cruise for two in the Mediterranean.
For the anecdote, in 2011, Geneviève de Fontenay who was still in the Miss Prestige committee, took part in the game of the competition for the symbolism. She passed the qualifying sequences where her son and granddaughters paid tribute to her. She was awarded the scarf of “Super Mamie Star 2011”.
