Long before becoming one of the emblematic faces of TF1, it was on the second channel that Marie-Sophie Lacarrau cut her teeth. Replacing then official presenter of the 1 p.m. news on France 2, the 47-year-old journalist began her career in public service… So naturally, when she left for a competing channel in 2021, many presenters came forward to take her over. . This is the case of Nathanaël de Rincquesen, Julian Bugier’s current joker on the 1 p.m. news on France 2.

“I accepted the decision of the management… With the balls”
Invited on the waves of South Radio this Wednesday, May 10, 2023, the journalist indeed indicated to Valérie Expert and Gilles Ganzmann that he had never hidden his desire to go from joker to holder. “The day I stop wanting to be the Caliph instead of the Caliph, I won’t be at 1 p.m. at all. I never hid that I had the ambition to replace Marie-Sophie Lacarrau when she left… Afterwards, I accepted the management’s decision… With boules, I am a former athlete, I am like everyone else, I like to win, I don’t like to lose,” he confided.
And for good reason, it was Julian Bugier who finally replaced Marie-Sophie Lacarrau. A choice against him which absolutely does not push the journalist to maintain any animosity with the new holder. “I continued to be Julian Bugier’s joker with pleasure and he is someone I appreciate and I love the 1 p.m. team with whom I work regularly”, concluded Nathanaël de Rincquesen.
