Indeed, the host has never hidden his closeness to the former Presidents of the Republic such as Jacques Chirac or François Hollande or even with the current Head of State of France, Emmanuel Macron.
However, it is indeed with Jacques Chirac that he had the best relations. Moreover, in an interview with Nice morning last October, the one who recently became single again, described Jacques Chirac and François Hollande as “friends”. “Chirac, I knew him when I was very young. We shared real moments of friendship. I had no advantage in being around him… I never asked for anything”he confided to our colleagues before saying a little more about the dark side of the first: “I knew the character of the man, he was a trickster. He was a good guy, but to get where he arrived, you are a little forced to walk on your convictions and a little also on the others”.

And the fact of having been able to rub shoulders with him has allowed him to keep excellent memories and share hilarious anecdotes. Proof of this is with its passage in The Big Heads on RTL on October 28 when he mentioned this “passion” of Jacques Chirac which displeased Bernadette. “There is a story one day which is terrible. Patrick Sébastien then continues and recalls: “And I remember one day when we arrived it was a birthday he asked me ‘do you have one?’ I said yes, I looked that there was no Bernadette and I asks him ‘what is the difference between Bernard-Henri Levy and Pascal Sevran?’. He says to me ‘I don’t know'”. The producer then reveals the so-called “disgusting” joke: “Well, Bernard-Henri Levy has the Petit Robert in his head and Pascal Sevran has the big Roger in his ass”. Jacques Chirac would have been “died laughing” discovering the answer but, against all expectations, Bernadette too: “At that moment I realize that there is Bernadette just behind. And there against all odds, she approaches me and says to me ‘but this story is very good’. I swear to you that it’s true “.
