Inspector Derrick on the big screen: this is what Thierry Lhermitte promised… Remember, in January 2020, the 70-year-old actor announced on RTL that he planned to bring this famous character in a feature film. “Derrick in film, in 2D with glasses, it’s in the works, it’s in writing”, he had revealed, excited at the idea of this project.
“It started as a joke, to tell you the truth. Then by dint of saying it and making people laugh, I said to myself: ‘Damn, but that’s super funny.’ […] We like to make fun of the Germans, it must be said, so an inspector as slow and boring as Derrick, there is something to laugh about. So here we go! », he added. And to conclude confidently: “If we write it in 2020, it’s great, if we shoot it in 2021, it’s great”.

An aborted project
A project that Thierry Lhermitte unfortunately had to give up… And it’s once again on RTL, in the program “We’re doing TV again” which will be broadcast on Saturday, June 10, that the latter to announce the news.
