On December 28, Dany Brillant will celebrate his 56th birthday. The singer has unveiled a new tribute album to Charles Aznavour, his lifelong idol, in which he shares duets with the greatest French artists: Carla Bruni, Patrick Bruel, Florent Pagny, Chimène Badi, Garou, Franck Dubosc and Nikos Aliagas .
Asked by our Belgian colleagues from Evening Mag, the interpreter of Suzette spoke about the rest of his career. “Honestly, I don’t know if I will continue to sing after this album. Music has become so complicated today.”
The star then continued by taking the example of the singer who died in October 2018. “Before exploding, Aznavour had 17 years of flop. Nowadays, who could afford to spend 17 years finding his audience? We no longer have the right to struggle today. Without likes, without views, nobody knows we exist “, explained the one who will be at the Dôme de Paris on February 4.

Alongside a busy career, Dany Brillant experienced the joys of fatherhood in 1993. A girl, born from a first marriage, named Léah, born in 1993, who can be heard in the song Léah sur l ‘Puerto Rico album released in 2009. Then his partner, Nathalie, allows him to have two boys named Lino and Dean in homage to the actors Lino Ventura and Dean Martin. To his delight, his offspring did not choose to follow in his footsteps. “My daughter Léah does not want to be a singer. My son Lino, he took up the sax. I advise them not to follow this path anyway, because it is a difficult job, which requires a real passion”, he confessed in the columns of Tele-Star.
