As is tradition in his show “At Jordan’s“, the paf star had to answer how much he earns per broadcast of “It starts today“, on France 2. And his response is surprising.
“I work in the public sector, I can’t get a salary”
He assured regarding this job on TV: “I’m paid, it’s a defrayal, I work in the public sector, I can’t get a salary“. In fact, Jordan de Luxe clarified for viewers that only the taxi that takes him to the France Télévisions studios is paid for by production.
In his capacity as a doctor at the Paul-Brousse hospital (AP-HP), specializing in addiction, Laurent Karila is subject to strict rules. He explains this about his retirement: “No idea of the amount of my pension, I have my teacher’s salary”. At 51, he is a professor of addiction and psychiatry at the University of Paris-Saclay. He also writes works on the theme, the 10th “Doctor: Addict or not?“, was released in 2024.
“I don’t get any fees, ever, ever”
And because Jordan de Luxe wanted to get an idea of his guest’s lifestyle, he asked him more in cash how much he earns per month. And he replied: “I earn, I don’t even know how much I earn”
for his job as a teacher. At Jordan de Luxe, however, he clarified that he had more than 3,000 euros per month, but that the amounts varied.
Same thing for the question about his biggest fee for a radio or TV show: here too, Laurent Karila recalled “I don’t get any fees, ever, ever.”
