On October 31, 2021, Ary Abittan was arrested and indicted for rape. The 23-year-old victim, who is an “acquaintance” of the actor, accused the actor of “non-consensual sexual practices” after having a “protected sexual act”. Following the victim’s complaint, the investigators searched the Parisian home of Ary Abittan where they were also able to find “bloody” sheets. In the process, the victim’s lawyer, Me Arash Derambarsh had revealed to the press that the young woman who is a student, “physically and mentally traumatized by the facts”namely an anal penetration of “incredible violence”.
One after this complaint, on October 14, 2023, a confrontation between the actor and his alleged victim took place. An affront during which the young woman maintained that she had opposed the practice of sodomy. Several bodily injuries at the level of the intimate sphere had also been noted by a doctor a few hours after the facts to support his statements.
Ary Abittan soon released?
So here we are almost two years after the facts and a new twist occurred this Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Le Parisien indeed affirmed that the 49-year-old comedian indicted for twenty months, was placed under the status of assisted witness. A considerable reduction in the charges which should lead to a dismissal and the abandonment of the proceedings, the actor having always denied having coerced his alleged victim. “I have always been considerate with women, attentive. I have always been a generous boy with women. I consume, but always in an authentic and true way” declared the father of the family during his police custody in 2021.

No question for the alleged victim, to let himself down. This Thursday, July 20, 2023, his lawyer Me Arash Derambarsh announced to RTL that his client will file a new complaint for “aggravated violence”. “My client considers that she has been the victim of violence. She had many days of ITT and both physical and moral harm. She wants justice to be done in serenity and uses all the rights she has to access a judge” he explains. We note that Me Arash Derambarsh also filed a complaint against X for “violation of the secrecy of the instruction” after the change of status of the actor was revealed in the press.
