Before the first round of the legislative elections which will take place on Sunday June 12, 2022, France 2 organized a great evening of debates between the representatives or supporters of the main political parties involved. Entitled “France 2022”, the program was presented by Léa Salamé and Laurent Guimier, director of information for the channel. Both hosted 10 personalities on set to discuss purchasing power, social model and security. But quickly, the morning of France Inter wanted to make a point because four representatives of the NUPES, left alliance created for the election, were present.
“We were obliged by law to invite four representatives of Nupes, because Nupes is a young alliance, which is only five weeks old and before you were each in your lane”she explained when for her part, Laurent Guimier, added. “This are the rules set by the Audiovisual Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom) which, since we are organizing a debate, asks us to fairly distribute the speaking time and the participation of the representative formations”indicating that the speaking time depended on the score in the presidential election and the number of deputies in the previous legislature.
And if Léa Salamé indicated that she herself did not really understand this imposed rule, many Internet users came forward to express their anger and their own incomprehension. “Lea Salame who is the extreme right? On the other hand, there is no extreme left but 4 candidates from the nuppes”, “Léa Salamé who drops his cry from the heart: “We have to invite the 4 leftists, and we didn’t understand why.”, “How can we accept that the Public Service entrusts @LeaSalame with the animation of this program when her companion takes up the cause of #NUPES and that she herself does not hide her benevolence towards the apprentice dictator #Melenchon ?“, wrote some viewers on Twitter.
