“This is a strong commitment on the part of the minister and the government”, greets Friday March 29 Olivier Beaufrere, national secretary of SNPDEN-Unsa, the main union of school leaders. The Minister of Education, Nicole Belloubet announced that a “mobile school security force” national was going to be deployed in establishments “in trouble”.

“A strong position”assures the national secretary of the main union bringing together heads of establishments, who is waiting to see how this “will be implemented”. This security force promised by the minister is “intended to reassure teachers” and to “ensure physical security” within middle and high schools, like what already exists at the academic level: mobile academic security teams. An announcement which comes after the early departure of the principal of the Parisian high school Maurice-Ravel, targeted by death threats after an altercation with a student so that she removes her veil.

“Around twenty people to start will work in this national team”said Nicole Belloubet. “We will certainly look for staff who work at the ministry or people who may be temporarily seconded from their position“, added the national secretary of SNPDEN-Unsa.
