The march against anti-Semitism on Sunday brought together 105,000 people in Paris, but also 7,500 in Marseille and 3,000 in Lyon and Strasbourg.
The fight against “Anti-Semitism is an eternal battle, which we must fight with all our strength every day, and the resurgence of anti-Semitic acts in recent weeks shows that the fight is far from won”reacted Manon Aubry, MEP La France insoumise, Monday November 13 on franceinfo.
Former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, current mayor of Le Havre, declared on franceinfo that a “a certain number of declarations from La France insoumise” have “used at certain moments the codes, the words of an ancient and perfectly abject anti-Semitism”. According to Edouard Philippe, “some members of LFI are getting lost, by not resolutely expressing the fact that anti-Semitism is a mistake, something we must fight against”.
“I am thinking today of all the families of Jewish faith or culture who are afraid for them, who are thinking of changing their name on their mailbox”supported Manon Aubry.
“This fight against this poison [l’antisémitisme] requires everything except amalgams, and that is exactly what Edouard Philippe does.”

“The heirs of the Nazis position themselves today as defenders of the Jews”
“In the call to march, Yaël Braun-Pivet not only calls for mobilization against anti-Semitism, she matters in the declaration […] the Israeli-Palestinian conflict”explains the MEP about the march against anti-Semitism on Sunday November 12, which brought together 105,000 people in Paris, but also 7,500 in Marseille and 3,000 in Lyon and Strasbourg. “It’s her [Yaël Braun-Pivet] who called for ‘unconditional support’ for the Israeli government, which is currently committing war crimes.”which explains the embarrassment of certain people on the left in going to demonstrate, according to Manon Aubry.
As for the presence of the National Rally in this march against anti-Semitism, Manon Aubry believes that “November 12, 2023 will remain in the history of our country as this moment when we reached a milestone, where those who are the heirs of the Nazis today place themselves as defenders of the Jews”. She adds : “Our challenge, as political leaders today, is to bring back the unity of the country, the unity of Muslims, Christians, Jews, to tell them that they are all placed under the protection of the nation , and from this point of view, Sunday’s march did not achieve its objective.”
“We condemned from the first second the despicable attacks of Hamas” committed on October 7, underlines Manon Aubry. “I also want today that we demonstrate the same firmness, and I regret the procrastination of the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, who is so reluctant to denounce the war crimes committed by Benjamin Netanyahu.”
