The opportunity for the 69-year-old comedian to reveal that he has been diagnosed with liver cancer and cirrhosis. “I discovered it when I went to consult. The doctor told me that I had cirrhosis of the liver and two cancerous nodules, in addition.”he explained before continuing: “And he told me that in these cases, the solution is a transplant. So I said, ‘well, let’s go'”. “We die a little before… I was already in the hospital for another examination and they had received the liver. So they told me to stay, that it was going to be done overnight.”
“And then, you know, they prick you, they take you on board and you don’t wake up until afterwards.“, Forced to have to slow down on outings to the bistro, the former resident of rue Bayard explains that he “drank his last whiskey” Laurent Gerra.
Asked about his sudden departure from “Big Heads”, the singer was not kind to some of his former colleagues, like Christine Bravo. “I had asked, at the time, to no longer be on set with her. It’s a big bignole (concierge in slang, editor’s note). And I mean it“, he said. Last April, Laurent Ruquier spoke on RTL of the departure of the comedian from the “Big Heads” to which he had belonged for almost twenty years. “Peroni was very gifted, very cultivated, but he is not able to hold the spittoon for 5 or 10 minutes on a completely improvised subject. He was funny, he still is by the way“, then explained the host of the program. “He’s the one who left, I still haven’t understood why“, admits Laurent Ruquier who left an open door all the same: “He will come back when he wants“.
