A sketch that had cringe. In November 2020, Sébastien Thoen was the troublemaker for Winamax in a parody of “L’Heure des Pros”, the program broadcast on CNEWS and hosted by Pascal Praud. For this sketch, the comedian camped Lionel Messiha, caricature of Jean Messiha, former member of the National Rally and very often present in “L’Heure des Pros”. Alongside Julien Cazarre and Thomas Séraphine, the merry band hijacked in an acerbic tone the flagship program of CNEWS, a channel that is part of the Canal group. The latter had hardly tasted this trait of humor and had thus decided to oust Sébastien Thoen from his antennas.
Saturday, October 22, Sébastien Thoen was invited to “Quelle époque!” on the occasion of the publication of his book “Chagrin d’humour” in which he pours out his years spent within the Canal+ group, his career, and the reasons for his dismissal, which he still has not very well digested. Léa Salamé tickled her guest on her conflicting relationship with Cyril Hanouna. “I keep texting him saying ‘invite me to talk about the book’. I’m willing to Face Baba if he wants”, quipped Sébastien Thoen.
Léa Salamé then asked him his feelings about the reasons given by the flagship host of C8 to justify his dismissal. “Cyril Hanouna tells you: “in a group, you are loyal, he was not loyal. Is that audible?”, asked the host. “He said that in an interview. The fact that I was not loyal, he spoke about it six months later. For once, the journalist answered him and said to him: ‘But you, you sometimes make fun of the programs’. And he said, ‘It’s not the same, we can at TPMP because we’re an entertainment show. I didn’t know that I was doing a political analysis program on Winamax…“, thus defended the recent resident of the “Big Heads” who concluded with a projection against Cyril Hanouna: “How funny is this Hanouna.
