this dramatic story with FN poster pasters…

This Sunday, April 24, 2022 takes place the second round of the presidential election. French citizens therefore have a duty to go to the polls to determine who Emmanuel Macron or Marine Le Pen will govern the country for the next five years. If Delphine Wespiser has made her choice by showing her support for the candidate of the National Rally, other personalities, for their part, are calling to vote for the outgoing president in order to counter the far right. Such is the case of the singer Soprano who, to influence his community, did not hesitate to share the story of Ibrahim, a 17-year-old young man killed by FN poster pasters in Marseille in 1995.

An “inexcusable, inexplicable and inadmissible” crime

The teenager of Comorian origin had been shot in the back in front of a National Front poster on which it was written: “With Le Pen, 3 million repatriated immigrants”. At the time, Jean-Marie Le Pen spoke. The president of the far-right party had notably declared to be ” deeply saddened by death by Ibrahim. He also added that he thought ” to the activists who had the misfortune to be involved in this tragic accident “. Jacques Chirac, for his part, had expressed his dismay at the microphone of RTL. The one who was elected President of the Republic a few months later condemned this tragedy ” inexcusable, inexplicable and inadmissible “.

Upset, Soprano therefore went to the scene of the crime. The interpreter of the title “To our everyday heroes” appeared alongside a fresco painted in honor of the victim. “Comuch of Ibrahim Ali before we wake up? “, can we read on the wall a few steps from a commemorative plaque which reads: “ Here Ibrahim Ali died at the age of 17, a victim of intolerance and hatred while leaving a theater and music rehearsal on February 21, 1995 “.
