It has now been 15 years since Grégory Lemarchal died of cystic fibrosis. It was on April 30, 2007, at the age of 24, that the winner of the fourth season of Star Academy plunged millions of people into deep sadness.

In the program presented exceptionally by Benjamin Castaldi, Magali Berdah revealed that her best friend died of the same disease. “I lost my best friend who was 17 to cystic fibrosis, so I grew up with this disease which is gripping and suffocating”revealed the columnist, very moved. “That strength that he embodied is incredible, because when you know people who have cystic fibrosis and you see them out of breath, all the time, and see what he could do while singing, it was unbelievable”continued the founder of Shauna Events. “I think he represented real hope for many, many patients. And the work done by his parents, who were unfortunately also highly criticized, was exceptional. And thanks to them, indeed, a lot of collections, and they are the ones who made this disease ‘known’, and who managed to move things forward. It is thanks to them. And so, congratulations to his parents”she concluded.
