Last Saturday, the coaches of The Voice met again to unearth new talent. For this season, Vianney, Amel Bent, Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny have enlarged the family since Nolwenn Leroy has joined them. Asked about her new role as coachthe beautiful brunette revealed to our colleagues of Télé-Loisirs: “I’m going to be the good fairy of The Voice. I’ve always been a big fan of blind auditions and, often, I thought it was a shame that certain talents weren’t selected. That could happen that after a day of listening, the coaches let a few diamonds slip by. I will be able to repair their mistakes by drafting four talents and reintegrating them into the adventure. I love this idea! There is a human side that I like”.
If they share the same troupe of the Enfoirés since 2006, Nolwenn Leroy and Amel Bent found themselves in this show for the first time together. And this allowed the two women to forge unprecedented links. Moreover, they took the opportunity to talk about their friendship, which took another turn during the Gala de l’Union des artistes at the microphone of 7 Days TV. “Our complicity is recent. We weren’t necessarily close before, even if I had enormous respect for the woman and the artist. But I missed her for years. I didn’t imagine it super funny or rock’n’roll. I was wrong. Everything changed when I saw her with the family” confessed the former candidate of the New Star.
“My mother and my sister were there. Something happened. We talked. Amel had tears in her eyes, because she realized that we had this common point of being close to our mothers, of our families. In fact, I don’t have many friends. And I realized that I could reflect this image, yes, a little distant. I don’t know where it comes from. Amel, to a moment, went further than that. I was not well understood, I think” admitted Nolwenn Leroy.
What Amel Bent bounced back saying: “I didn’t know you at all. Your music, your universe… I said to myself: ‘She’s weird!’ (They burst out laughing.) Today, I find that her music and what she shows -even correspond well to what it is”. A beautiful friendship that we hope to discover more on the screens!
