“This commission of inquiry did not need that”, judged the socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj, member of the commission of inquiry into TNT frequencies, after the remarks of the president of the commission Quentin Bataillon in the program “Touche pas à mon poste!” by Cyril Hanouna on host Yann Barthès.

The Renaissance deputy had pinned the“arrogant attitude” of the presenter of “Quotidien” during his hearing by the commission of inquiry. Words that “entachent” the work of the deputies, assures the elected socialist from Essonne, especially since “some hearings were so folkloric, so staged that they crushed the very purpose of this commission of inquiry”. “We look at these controversies, these chicayas and we move away from the words of the commission of inquiry”he continues.

Auditions that are not his “best memory”

Asked about the usefulness of such a commission dedicated to the allocation of TNT frequencies, including those of C8 and CNews (Canal+ group) brought back into play, Jérôme Guedj believes that the conduct of the hearings “not the best memory” of his committee work that he was given to carry out. “We will see about the content of the report, but it is a solitary piece of writing”, he nuances. The hearings ended on March 28, time now for the writing of the report by LFI deputy Aurélien Saintoul.

However, in the eyes of the socialist deputy, this commission of inquiry “will have made it possible to raise the question of when we give TNT frequencies to someone, we must ensure that they respect the laws governing it”. Controversial host-producer Cyril Hanouna is used to live drama. Nearly 7.5 million euros in fines were imposed on C8 by Arcom, the media regulator. “Can we hold an audience at any cost, including going beyond the legal framework, making insulting remarks or substantiating very serious incidents, or agreeing to take sanctions?”asks Jérôme Guedj.

Asked about his arrival on the TPMP set, “the day after Cyril Hanouna’s hearing”he recalls, Jérôme Guedj assures that it was for pedagogy, not “can’t stand the idea” conveyed by Cyril Hanouna “that the commission of inquiry was partisan and was targeting them”. “I couldn’t stand the idea that it was a commission of inquiry aimed specifically at the Bolloré group”he adds.
