Seventeen women filed a complaint against Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, including eight for rape. In total, at least twenty-seven women testified against the former star of TF1 JT in the press or in court, including two minors at the time of the alleged facts. The PPDA case continues to generate a lot of ink.
Recently, Mediapart broadcast an exceptional program which brought together for the first time 20 women accusing the ex-companion of Claire Chazal of sexual violence and harassment. And recently, France Télévisions announced to AFP that the former journalist will no longer be the voice-over for the program “A house, an artist”, which returns this summer to France 5.
For once, “Touche pas à mon poste” returned to this tortuous affair. Seeking to explain the behavior of Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, who denies the facts and continues for the time being to be presumed innocent, the columnist Nicolas Pernikoff delivered a clear opinion on the star. “I think he’s in another dimension. He is still in his head this powerful man, cornered by these 26 women. His behavior is abnormal, it’s a disease, a pathology (…) I find it appalling“, he launched.
The former program director of France Télévisions, who recently returned to his past as a driver for Mylène Farmer, then concluded: “When we talk about the problem of prescription, it is not possible. We are talking about people who have been raped, and who have been living with it, for some, for 20 years. I think it’s impossible for this case to be closed. How he can survive this today is unbelievable“.
