Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez shares his satisfaction with us from Marseille, Wednesday May 8, where he awaits the arrival of the Olympic flame which is on board the three-masted ship Belem. The director of antennas and programs at France Télévisions is delighted with the launch of the brand new channel dedicated to the Olympic Games on the France Télévisions platform: france.tv Paris 2024. “It’s the first time in 100 years that France is hosting the Olympic Games, it deserved a channel and a channel that could perhaps last as long as possible”.

It began broadcasting on Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. and will last at least until September. “It will lead us towards the Paralympic Games. It is a very important role for us to expose Paralympic sport, to show the continuity that there is between the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games”, explains Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez. Bringing these two events to all French people is a priority for public service channels.

A live channel all day

You will be able to watch the Olympic Games on France 2, on France 3, on France 5 and on the france.tv channel which will be live all day. “We know that the French will be passionate and we know that France will follow this moment“, assures the director. France.tv Paris 2024 will be there to tell what an Olympic adventure is, what the journey of champions is, the journey of athletes, with a historical aspect. And for the first time , it will also make it possible to follow the path of the flame and measure the effervescence it generates.

“We will follow live, from morning until 6 p.m., the journey of the flame. A flame which will cross France, which will be welcomed in all the villages.”
