Yesterday, Saturday 23 October, Marlène Schiappa, was the guest of the talk “We are live” on France 2. With the approach of the presidential election of 2022, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, in charge of Citizenship, returned to the rise of Eric Zemmour and confided to Laurent Ruquier and Léa Salamé that the extreme right represented “a threat”.
The Minister Delegate was also present on the set of the France 2 program to promote her new book entitled “His way of being mine”. But Marlène Schiappa probably did not expect to be so heckled by the hosts and in particular Léa Salamé. She was particularly surprised at the frequency of publications by politicians. “When we see that you still have very important files (…) you have published no less than eight books in the five years that you have been minister (…) Even Amélie Nothomb, who is a graphomaniac, is a little gamer in relation to you “, balanced the journalist against a background of criticism.
Stung by this remark, Marlène Schiappa clarified that some of these books had been written before her arrival in government, recalling in passing that she has been a novelist since the age of 25. An answer to which Léa Salamé split a new projection. “Yes but there you are minister“, she replied. Wishing to put an end to these criticisms, Marlène Schiappa concluded: “Lots of people write books and do something else on the side.” At the beginning of last October, Léa Salamé was also offensive against the political guest of the evening, Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
