A new season of the show Lol, whoever laughs, gets out! lands on Prime Video this Friday February 16, 2024. Launched in 2021, this concept presented by Philippe Lacheau brings together famous comedians in the same room decorated and filled with accessories of all kinds. Locked together for six hours, they must make each other laugh while trying not to laugh themselves. Each person who flinches and laughs is then eliminated until the last one is crowned the big winner.
In addition to offering spectators a great moment of laughter, this program is also structured around a noble cause since the winner receives a check for 50,000 euros for the association of their choice. Last year, the program found itself at the heart of a lively controversy when comedian Blanche Gardin revealed that she had declined the invitation.
“I regret having to refuse your invitation to participate in the next season of the game broadcast on your Amazon platform. I understood that it was only a single day of filming, only that day, I had a dentist. I would be embarrassed to the surroundings (…) to be paid 200,000 euros for a day of work even if I lose at your game, when the association charity of my choice would win 50,000 euros.” she had in fact declared with great disdain.
