It makes you wonder if the world has not traveled back in time to fall back into the Middle Ages… Indeed, a few days ago, the Supreme Court of the United States made a decision, to say the least strange and revolting, for the majority of women, but also of men, in the world. This has just revoked the right to abortion in the country… A decision that dates back to 1973. Faced with this decision, Michelle Obama, who has always fought for equality rights for all, obviously took speak on Instagram to express his sadness at such a decision. A text that touched Chloé Jouannet a lot.
Indeed, the daughter of Alexandra Lamy, who recently confided in her bulimia problems and her complexes, like the majority of people, was surprised and revolted by the decision taken by the Supreme Court. This is why she wanted to relay the writings of Barack Obama’s companion. “I am heartbroken today. I am heartbroken for the people of this country who have just lost the basic right to make informed decisions about their own bodies”she regretted at first before continuing, always with the same solemn and heartbreaking tone: “I am heartbroken that we may be destined to learn the painful lessons of a time when Roe was not yet the law of the land – a time when women risked losing their lives by illegal abortion”.
A leap back…
Michelle Obama was also quick to compare the decision to time travel, the wrong way: “It’s what our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers went through, and here we are again”.
In the following lines, she appealed to all those who support her ideas: “If you’re like me and want to get started now, I encourage you to turn your frustration and anger into action by getting involved”. There is no doubt that Chloé Jouannet, who recently had a dress problem, will also fight alongside the former First Lady of the United States and that this fight will grow as the days go by.
