Third-year students take history-geography and science exams, discover the subjects throughout the day

The final stretch for the written exams for the national brevet diploma (DNB). Third-year students are taking the history-geography and science exams on Tuesday, July 2. This year, 858,409 candidates are registered in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments and regions, according to the Ministry of National Education.

In mainland France, Reunion Island and Mayotte, they have an appointment at 9 am and until 11 am to shine in history-geography. They will face science in the afternoon, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Individual or independent candidates must also tackle an additional test, that of a modern foreign language, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Follow our live broadcast.

French and mathematics exams already passed on Monday. The third-year students have already handed in their French and mathematics papers on Monday. In parallel with all these written tests, the middle school students are also called to an oral test, relating to a project carried out during the school year, the date of which is communicated to them individually by their establishment.

Half points thanks to continuous assessment. The DNB is assessed on 800 points: 400 continuous assessment points and 400 final exam points. You must obtain at least 400 points to obtain it. To obtain a “fairly good” mention, you must accumulate 480 points. For a “good” mention, 560 points, and for a “very good” mention, 640 points.
