Third trimester | Lightspeed reduced its loss by 79.9 million

(Montreal) Lightspeed reduced its net loss in its most recent quarter compared to the corresponding period which ended September 30, 2022.


The company, which provides technology solutions to businesses, reports that its most recent loss was US$42.5 million, or $0.28 per share, up from US$79 a year earlier. US9 million, or $0.53 per share.

Lightspeed’s third quarter total revenue was US$230.3 million, up 25% year-over-year.

Lightspeed revises its revenue outlook upwards for fiscal 2024, but the company remains cautious in the near term, given the risk of additional interest rate increases and muted optimism consumers as the holiday season approaches.

Three months ago, Lightspeed reported a net loss of US$48.7 million in the first quarter, or $0.32 per share, while a year earlier, it had suffered a net loss of US$100.8 million, or $0.68 per share.
