Springfield Thunderbirds players should consider putting some earplugs on.

This is, in essence, the message that was launched by Jean-François Houle Wednesday morning at Place Bell in Laval.
According to the Rocket’s coach, visitors might be startled by the noise…and maybe also a little inconvenienced, which is definitely the desired outcome.
“They’re going to be amazed,” replied the Rocket coach. They expect it to be noisy here, but maybe not so noisy…”
The two teams will play game three of this series on Wednesday evening, with a 1-1 tie.
At the Rocket, veteran forward Cédric Paquette, although battered, will indeed be there. But another veteran, forward Gabriel Bourque, is a questionable case for the game. Bourque had to abdicate during Sunday’s game at Springfield, after suffering a head injury on a check from Dakota Joshua during the first period.
“He wants to play and he looks ready, but first he will have to meet the team doctors during the day,” said the coach. It’s not easy to retain guys like that, who always want to play no matter what. »
If ever Bourque cannot be there, it is the young Joshua Roy who would then take the place in the formation of Laval.
Roy was the QMJHL’s leading scorer in 2021-22. In 66 games, he scored 51 goals and added 68 assists, for a total of 119 points.
