The degreasing operation continues at Paris Saint-Germain: the Parisian club announces this Wednesday August 17 the permanent transfer of Thilo Kehrerwho joins West Ham United for an estimated fee of around 15 million euros.
The 25-year-old German defender joined PSG in 2018, to a transfer of around 37 million eurosafter spending 6 years at Schalke 04. “With the capital club, Thilo Kehrer played a total of 128 matches, scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists”writes the PSG in a press release, “in four seasons with the Rouge & Bleu, he contributed to the success of the team and won three French championships, two French Cups, a League Cup and a Champions Trophy.”
Difficulties in winning at PSG
Thilo Kehrer leaves PSG one year before the end of his contract, scheduled for 2023. The German has never really imposed himself on the field and the Parisian club is cleaning up this summer. Other players are also on the way out: Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera, Senegalese Idrissa Gana Gueye and midfielder Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe. In any case, the West Ham United club welcomes Thilo Kehrer, who joins goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, already transferred from PSG to the English club at the end of June.
