In an interview with the magazine Tele-Leisure, Karine Le Marchand evoked the particular destiny of Thierry, a 65-year-old winegrower, well known to viewers of Love is in the meadow. The touching candidate, in particular made famous for his reply “Naughty fate”, was heartbroken by his suitor Annick. A former model who likes to appear very sensual on social networks who does everything to seduce him before planting him, which plunged Thierry into a depression which made him lose 20 kilos. But M6 and the host who have always supported the participant, wanted to give him a new chance to find love. He therefore participates in the new season ofADP which begins on Monday.
“The production and I remained very close to him. It had touched the viewers a lot. Everyone was sad to leave him on a disappointment. It’s as if his season had been stolen from him. We wanted to fix that. Perhaps also that we made ourselves feel guilty by telling us that we should perhaps have investigated his suitor more“, confides Karine Le Marchand. And Thierry was very well accompanied when he dived. It was also a psychologist, provided by the production, who helped him. “We essentially guided him before validating his participation. Last year, we discussed with the production the idea of taking it back, but Thierry had to have hip surgery. And above all, he had not yet made his way. He moulted for many months with the show’s psychologist, who then informed us when he was ready. He integrated things, changed his expectations. Finally it’s someone new“, loose the beautiful host.
And indeed Thierry has reviewed his requirements. He also asked the production that the photos be separated from the letters before the mail is opened. “I didn’t want to see the pictures because this time I didn’t want to see the glare. Reading the letters and looking at the pictures I’ve been wrong twice in the past“, he had confided to these same colleagues.
So we hope for him that this one will be the right one as we say for our dear winegrower.
