Thierry Leprêtre and the year 1982

Side flavor on Sunday welcomes a guest who necessarily has something to do with cooking, chef, craftsman, producer and a small challenge to take up, remember a significant year in his life, personal or professional. A choice that allows us to go back in time, to remember some events that marked that year.

Thierry the priest welcomes you to When in his Country bistro, Le Ch’ti Quin Quend. A friendly place in this small town by the sea. After many years spent in Corsica, you still appreciate at his table this mixture of terroirs which make it original. Chestnuts, polenta, cheeses and charcuterie from there are offered to you as local Picardy dishes.

In 1982, when he was only 19, his first daughter was born. Based in Baden Baden where he did his military service, he came back in a hurry to welcome the pit chounette and in the car at the exit of the station, he turned up the sound and heard Pierre Bachelet’s song Les Corons for the first time.

This year

  • January 16 first broadcast from the Champs-Élysées presented by Michel Drucker (with star guest Michel Sardou)
  • March 8: International Women’s Day gets official status
  • June 4: the PTT launches the marketing of the Minitel to the general public
  • June 21: first edition of the Fête de la Musique

That year we listened on the radio:

  • Philippe Lavil: He hits bamboo
  • Daniel Balavoine: Live or Survive
  • Pierre Bachelet: The Corons
  • Heartache: Everyone does
  • Jean Jacques Goldman: A sign will suffice
  • Phone: That’s really you
