After a long well-deserved break, Bigflo and Oli are finally back on the music scene. At the beginning of April, the two musician brothers thus announced their intention to meet their audience on Friday June 24, the day of the release of the disc, for an unprecedented concert at the Accor Arena in Paris.
While waiting for this date, they spoiled their fans this Sunday, May 1, 2022, by performing “Sacré bordel”, the first single from their new opus, on the set of the show “8:30 p.m. on Sunday”. Just before, the two brothers were talking about their break to Laurent Delahousse: “On needed a little break and some time for us too” they advanced. “And just make music again. Because by doing a lot of promotion, by doing projects on the side, we lost the thread of the writing a little ” they added.
A remark by Thierry Ardisson generates a lively controversy
After their performance on set, Bigflo and Oli were thanked and congratulated by the guests present. Actor and director Jacques Weber warmly congratulated the two brothers and it was then Thierry Ardisson’s turn to say what he thought of the show. “It’s good, it’s great to see them appropriating our culture, it is theirs too so it is good that they talk about it” launched the facilitator.
If no one was surprised by this sentence on the set, these words, on the other hand, caused an uproar on social networks. “What slippage on Thierry Ardisson’s part at the end of this song… did he actually understand the lyrics?”, “Thierry Ardisson say that ‘Bigflo and Oli have appropriated our culture’well seen the colonialistto puke”, “Ardisson didn’t understand the lyrics, huh…”, ” And no one to take it back on the set” can we indeed read among the reactions.
