“Elles chantent Johnny” returns this Saturday, February 26 on the stage of the Bambino cabaret in Bergerac. This show is Stéphane Rebeyrole who imagined it a few years ago. A show created with his wife Brigitte, who died of an illness. “She sang for more than 20 years in the variety orchestra that I conducted. Johnny was already part of the repertoire,” recalls Stéphane. This is where the idea came then to do a concert only with songs by Johnny Halliday, giving it a particular color with songs only sung by a woman. the couple have always been impressed by the musical and scenic performances of “the owner”. “We are known in the music world. A double tribute
“After Brigitte’s departure, we met with all the musicians to find out what we wanted to do. It was unanimous, everyone wanted to continue this project,” says Stéphane. This evening is a double tribute, to Brigitte and Johnny Halliday.

Brigitte replaced by her best friend
This Saturday, February 26, in Bergerac, Corinne Van Montagu, Brigitte’s best friend, will be on stage. “She has a very rock voice. She was already Brigitte’s understudy when we put on the show. Corinne will be accompanied by three singers, a group of musicians, including a string quartet. The musicians will be inspired by the re-orchestrations of Yvan Cassar. The former artistic director of Johnny’s tours released a symphonic album last year with the greatest hits of the French rocker.
Nearly 25 songs will be offered: Allumer le feu, I was born in the street, Sang pour sang, Gabrielle, Le pénitencier,… Paris, where the Taulier had sung in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Initially, two evenings were planned. Only that of this Saturday, February 26, 2022 will take place. The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. on the stage of Le Bambino cabaret in Bergerac.
