“They killed me, I’m half dead”, her mother’s cry from the heart

He had participated in the show “The 12 strokes of noon”, and he was cut down in his youth. Bastien Payet, a 23-year-old student, died on March 10, 2019, beaten to death, in the middle of the rue de Reims by three men, while he was returning home. While the 3 suspects were released, his mother, supported by Jean-Luc Reichmann, uttered a heartfelt cry on March 12, 2024.

“That the alleged attackers are free is incomprehensible!”

She who spoke on CNewsin Jean-Marc Morandini’s show explained: “For five years, I have the impression that Bastien has been forgotten. At the moment, it is a difficult period. March 10, it is never easy“. And to remember the Friday when she saw her son standing for the last time, “then the night of horror from Friday to Saturday, where he was attacked. The night from Saturday to Sunday, where he died in my arms”she says.

Frédérique reacted to the decision to release the 3 men suspected of the murder of her son, and she said: “Today, I would like the trial to take place, I would like us to be heard. I would like to be able to move forward with my life, having this trial. By being recognized as a victim and being able to move forward in my grieving work.” And to add:“The fact that the alleged attackers are at large is incomprehensible! We can say that we do not agree with that. We have been waiting for the judgment for five years and they have their little quiet life. They are outside; my son is locked in the cemetery.”

“They killed me. I’m half dead”

If today she explained that she believed in justice, this mother admitted that she had “less and less confidence”waiting “may justice be done to him”. And to also admit his despair: “They killed me. I’m half dead. I lost my job. I’m on disability. I was no longer able to practice my profession as a midwife. I’m disabled. They took my health , they took my whole life, my only child. I’m half dead.”
