Sandra Ifrah, spokesperson for the Women United for Peace collective, is the guest of 19/20 info Thursday November 30. She reacts to the release of Franco-Israeli hostage Mia Shem.

Mia Shem, former Franco-Israeli hostage, was released by Hamas on Thursday November 30. “The hostages are released, they are not completely freed. (…) As long as the 143 other hostages are not released, for us, it will still be painful”, specifies Sandra Ifrah, spokesperson for the “Women united for Peace” collective, guest of 19/20 info. Mia Shem will be transferred to an Israeli hospital, after having undergone homemade surgery on an arm injury by Hamas.

“We have a responsibility”

“Mia, it was a bit like at the Bataclan, (…) she was there to party, to celebrate peace and she was snatched away”adds Sandra Ifrah, who reminds us that, despite this moment of union, the fight is not over. “There are 143 hostages, including children, we don’t even know what condition they are in. (…) We have a responsibility”, says the spokesperson for the “Women united for Peace” collective. There remain four French hostages.
