A 23-year-old young man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested Thursday afternoon for the murder of Frédérik Gagné in Thetford Mines, in Chaudière-Appalaches. A collaboration in the investigation of the Police Department of Thetford Mines and the Sûreté du Québec led to this arrest, indicates a press release sent to the media on Thursday.

Recall that the police had requested the collaboration of the population since Tuesday to find the thirty-something, whose disappearance had been reported by his relatives on Sunday. There were fears for his safety at the time and the possibility that he had been the victim of a criminal act was being considered.

Frédérik Gagné was last seen last Friday, December 17, and his vehicle was located the same day, in the evening, in the Thetford Mines sector.
