Dear listeners born after 1998 and who are called Marguerite or Margot, perhaps owe their first name to this song by La Tordue – undoubtedly the most famous of this trio which separated in 2003. But Marguerite was not the daughter of these three musicians; it was Benoît Morel, lyricist and singer of La Tordue who wanted to write the immense emotion of the birth of his first child, which he wanted to remember forever.

Marguerite is not the only child whose birth is greeted with a song from her father. It’s almost a tradition: from 1959 to 2008, Isabelle, Cécile, Laura, Juditth, Zouzou…
