"Miss", by Berry. (DR)

The bond we have with our grandparents often leads us to ask ourselves the same kind of questions as Berry in his magnificent song Furtherin 2008 : often, we do not feel their love as being polluted by educational tasks, and moreover we will be among the last witnesses of their life.

This song by Berry is a song of mourning, but of this singular mourning that the song willingly expresses with more serenity than others, despite the pain. And we can’t help but hear the granddaughter’s happy expression of love for her grandmother alongside the immediate pain of the loss.
