The jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II attracted many French tourists on Saturday June 4. They came to enjoy the fervor in the street and have a memorable time.
In a largely British crowd, tourists from around the world traveled to the UK to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee. Among them, there are also some people from France. A family from Lille made the trip to take advantage of the fervor there. “The people are friendly, smiling and the weather is nice“, rejoices the mother of the family.
Also coming to visit London, this family is seduced by the British monarchy: not the political regime but the patriotic symbol. “I wish there was the same in France“, she says. Other French people are fans of the Queen and look in the shops for souvenirs of the sovereign what they do not yet have in their collection. Enthusiastic fans but who are a little disappointed that Elizabeth had to give up most celebrations for health reasons, although they understand that choice. The Queen also enjoys France, it is the country she has visited the most in Europe during her 70 years of reign.
