While the eleventh season of the star Academy has just come to an end, a former telecrochet candidate was the guest of At Jordan’s Friday February 9, 2024… And it wasn’t just any academician since it was Mario Barravecchia, a candidate from the very first season, who answered Jordan De Luxe’s questions… And as tradition dictates on the set of the C8 program, the guest of the day put his cards on the table by answering the journalist’s most indiscreet questions… As proof, the 47-year-old man revealed the amount he had won following his participation to the Star Academy, over 20 years ago.
“The first check I received from Universal Musique was around 200,000 euros in advance in 2002… Afterwards, there are lots of things so obviously, we earn lots of money. There is the album , he has the tour… So I received between 6 and 800,000 euros”, he revealed.
And to add that this money was largely no longer in his possession: “I burned out almost everything. We’re 24 years old, we tour… I invited a lot of people around me. When I got married the first time, I calmed down, but I had already burned down one part. I went to posh ski resorts for 20,000 euros to act American. I rented an expensive apartment on the island of Saint-Louis. It was 7,000 euros a month. When you’re young, we have the impression that every six months, we will have 300,000 euros”he remembered.
A squabble
During his interview, Mario Barravecchia also remembered the program dedicated to the 20 years of the star Academy broadcast in 2021. A program during which the latter performed the anthem of his promotion alongside his former comrades, including obviously Jenifer, the big winner of this edition.
“At the age of 20, we were all there at the rehearsals, it was for two days and I was surprised because we had to come back to sing ‘La Musique’ all together and then as soon as I returned on stage, I “I saw a woman with me and it wasn’t Jennifer. It was a stand-in who acted like Jennifer.”he said
And to reveal that the famous coach of
The Voice
had even fallen out with Jean-Pascale Lacoste, with whom she was in a relationship during her season: “During the set, there was a break and there was a spat between her and Jean-Pascal”, he blurted… An argument that Jordan De Luxe insisted on afterwards. Indeed, the journalist revealed that the singer would have asked her ex-boyfriend not to mention their story during their season, a request that the main party would not have appreciated…
