“There was a desire to hush up this affair”, says Éric Zemmour, candidate for the Reconquête! in the presidential election, guest of 7/9 of France Inter Wednesday April 6, after the death of Jeremie Cohen hit by a tram after being struck by several people in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) on February 16.

“It is the lives of young French people today who are in constant danger in all these neighborhoods”, as in Bobigny, hammers the far-right candidate. “The prosecution did everything to stifle this case. It took this poor tearful father to write to me for it to take on these proportions”he continued. “Political instrumentalization is the law of silence.”

“I never said it was absolutely anti-Semitic,” defends Éric Zemmour, while according to the first results of the investigation, there is no “discriminatory grounds”. “Anyway, it’s no less serious, if I dare say,” he assumes. “Just because a kid is attacked when he is disabled, Jewish, walking down the street – he could not have been Jewish, he would have had the same fate – I would have been scandalized and moved in the same way, it is obvious”, he throws.
