Two deputies of the National Assembly launched the online platform “Balance ton sport” on Wednesday to collect testimonies from victims of violence in sport. Sabrina Sebaihi, Nupes MP for Hauts-de-Seine and rapporteur of the commission of inquiry into failures in the French sports movement, launched at the beginning of July, and Béatrice Bellamy, Horizons MP for Vendée, president of the commission, are at the origin of the project. An initiative freshly welcomed by the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra.

>> Balance your sport: “Unfortunately, there is almost no federation that has been spared by the testimonies that reach us”, explains MP Sabrina Sebaihi, at the origin of the platform

A unique platform: “Signal Sport”

“What I want to express with great force and vigor is that there is only one platform for collecting reports of violence and in particular gender-based violence. It is a platform which is called ‘Signal Sport’, set up since 2020 by the Ministry of Sports”

Amélie Oudéa-Castéra recalls that the “Signal Sport” platform is “the only channel through which the authorities can take the necessary protective measures, direct victims to the right associations, coordinate all procedures, initiate investigations, take legal action”. She adds that he “It is essential not to disperse and not lose clarity for the victims.” According to the minister, “Signal sport” is today a platform, “better and better identified by the world of sport and the federations and this must continue.” She repeats that “it is essential that this readability remains and continues to gain momentum”.
