The national secretary of the Ecologists declared this on Friday August 23 on France Inter, a few hours before going to the Élysée with the New Popular Front (NFP) to “a series of exchanges” with the President of the Republic.

“I think you have in mind that we took the time to find this name because we did it seriously, that we needed a name of consensus, of experience, of competence, someone who is sincerely aligned with the program because it must be implemented and someone who is likely to appease this country which has great need of it”explains Marine Tondelier, who assures that the NFP is “determined as never before” to impose this Friday at the Élysée the name of Lucie Castets as the next head of government.

The head of the Ecologists knows that the task will be difficult, “he (Emmanuel Macron) is not going to do anything to please us, he is not going to say: ‘But really, if you had told me earlier that Lucie Castets was an expert in public services, really, I would have appointed her directly…'”considering the President of the Republic in the “denial”.

Marine Tondelier, who decided to be “optimistic” for this return, still sees a symbol in this “exchange series” organized this Friday and Monday at the Élysée. Emmanuel Macron “decides to receive the forces in protocol order and he receives us first. Maybe that means he finally recognizes the result of the election.”
