Bruno Retailleau, president of the LR group in the Senate, was the guest of the “4 Truths” of France 2, Thursday May 25.
In the Council of Ministers, after a succession of tragic affairs, the President of the Republic expressed concern about a “decivilization” of the society. “There is decivilization when there are phenomena of barbarism, the enslavement of society, when the school no longer succeeds in transmitting knowledge, when there is an enterprise of cultural deconstruction in France. Decivilization c is the inverse of civilization, which is what allows a society to contain violent reflexes”explains Bruno Retailleau, president of the LR group in the Senate, Who is the guest of the 4 Truths of France 2, Thursday, May 25.
“Penal laxity, we must fight it
According to Bruno Retailleau, “there is a hatred of this civilization, which some want to nourish in the West”. Who ? “The wokists, for example. This work of deconstruction began at school with [Pierre] Bourdieu, we see that the school no longer transmits knowledge. Worse even: that the French republican school favors the children of families who are rather rich compared to families who are modest”he believes.
Dramas concerning road accidents have taken place in recent days. What should be done ? “The causes are laxity, penal for example. There is a feeling of impunity, especially among the youngest, who, all the great child psychiatrists say, develop in them a feeling of omnipotence. […] Penal laxity, we must fight it”says Bruno Retailleau.
LR is trying to unite around immigration. The right-wing party will table two bills at the beginning of the week, and wants, among other things, a referendum on the subject. “We left these truths that the French are waiting for to protect themselves in the media, and we lost our voters”, believes the boss of senators LR. For Olivier Dussopt, the modification of the Constitution necessary for this referendum would be “unthinkable” because that would be the opposite of European construction. “What we want is not to leave Europe, we want Europe not to leave the treaties”says Bruno Retailleau.
