“There are women everywhere, and that’s new,” says journalist Isabelle Alonso

On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, Isabelle Alonso, journalist, founder of the association “Chiennes de garde”, is the guest of 19/20 info, Friday March 8. “As we have progressed, how magnificent it is to see all these women in the street”, she says about the women who demonstrated for their rights. The journalist recognizes that many “lands” are still “to mark”. For them, progress has been made regarding the place of women in society.

“It’s changed a lot.”

“There are women on TV sets, there are women in Parliament, there are women in public life, there are women who make films, who write their own songs, there are women everywhere, and that’s new, because before there were women nowhere”, assures Isabelle Alonso. These improvements have taken place over the past thirty years. “There are people for whom thirty years seems a very long time, but on the scale of a human life, it is still within a human life. It has changed enormously”concludes the founder of the “Chiennes de garde” association.
