La Nupes is making a separate political comeback. Janine Mossuz-Lavau, research director at CNRS and CEVIPOF, political scientist, takes stock of the state of the left.
The left is making a separate political comeback, with each formation having its own summer school. “La Nupes was a fairly short time. The different families are returning home. […] Those who guarded the old houses are gathering people around them in each of the formations.”explains Janine Mossuz-Lavau, research director at CNRS and CEVIPOF, political scientist guest on the Franceinfo 11 p.m. set on Friday August 26.
To ever was there any question of organizing a joint summer school? “No, each family wants to be reconstituted, to find what has made each one’s identity for decades, more than a century. We can see it for the Socialist Party”, believes Janine Mossuz-Lavau. Are the ranks loosening at Nupes? “There are voices that show that it does not work so well. There is a kind of tropism from everyone. They could all find themselves on a criticism of a certain number of political points of Macron”, adds the research director at CNRS and CEVIPOF.
