“There are personalities today who seem irreconcilable, but there is no irreconcilable electorate on the left,” declares Thursday November 9 on franceinfo Yannick Jadot, environmentalist senator from Paris, on the subject of Nupes.

Asked about the future of the union of the left, the former presidential candidate believes in a victory for the left in 2027 without Nupes: “I call on the people of the left to seize their project for 2027. Every time we have won in this country,” he adds, “it’s because intellectuals, the world of culture, unions, civil society organizations – with political movements – built the project”.

Yannick Jadot indeed thinks “that Nupes is dead”. “It was an intelligent coalition”he explains, “but we can clearly see today that it was built as an extension of La France insoumise with its methods of government and under the influence of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.”
